Fun and intimate NYC elopements have become increasingly popular in recent years, with couples seeking a more intimate and personal way to tie the knot. And what better place to do so than in the heart of New York City, surrounded by the vibrant energy and stunning architecture for which the city is famous?
Lisa and Whitfield’s elopement took place at the historic St. Luke’s in the Fields church, located in the charming West Village neighborhood. The couple envisioned a small, intimate wedding with just a few close family members and friends. St. Luke’s in the Fields provided the perfect backdrop for their special day, with its beautiful stained glass windows, ornate ceilings, and elegant Gothic Revival architecture.
They exchanged their vows in a simple yet heartfelt ceremony officiated by David. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests made their way around the church’s garden courtyard, where they toasted with glasses of chilled champagne. The city bustling in the background provided the perfect soundtrack for the joyous occasion.
After the toast, Lisa and Whitfield took a leisurely stroll through the winding streets of the West Village, hand in hand and basking in the glow of their love. We paused to take photos on the picturesque cobblestone streets, with the iconic brownstones and restaurants of the neighborhood as well as near the water by the Hudson which provided a stunning backdrop.
