This lovely couple wanted to go for an intimate NY City Hall elopement just the two of them and have a bigger wedding next year. That actually makes a lot of sense for many couples who want to have an initial low key legal marriage without the need to have a lot of guests and ending up having to organize a mini wedding which can be expensive, especially if you are planning on a large event further down the road.
The situation at the City Clerk’s office hasn’t changed much and they are still implementing the covid protocols with masks and only one person attending the ceremony to act as a guest, which in this case was Leila, the photographer. It is true though that some of the officiants can be a little more understanding if you want to remove your mask for a few shots.
