When Serena and Thomas told us they wanted to elope in Red Hook we got really excited. It’s always great for us to photograph in these old parts of Brooklyn where there’s still a feeling of the past combined with the creative power of artists who moved there looking for cheaper rent apartments. The effects of gentrification cannot be overlooked though but we believe Red Hook keeps a good balance of old residents with newer tenants. In the end, it makes it a really charming spot to get married and if you take the tunnel it’s just minutes away from Manhattan! These two had planned a big wedding but they had to adapt their plans to a more intimate setting due to Covid and they asked us to capture their day. After a photoshoot around the area, we chose a spot for the ceremony which was officiated by David as part of our Sweet Elopement Package.
