Leila Jacue has a Master’s in Visual Communication, specializing in photography. She has 10 years of experience as an NYC-based elopement and wedding photographer with a unique sensibility for emotions and visual storytelling. Her wedding work goes in parallel with her photojournalist/editorial work for different media, including Glamour Magazine, GQ Magazine, Highsnobiety, and the NY Fashion Week. David Leon has a Master’s in Fine Arts focusing on fine art photography. He works as an art director for Leila’s shootings and a second shooter, specializing in capturing the vibes, details, and candid shots.
We both work with a hybrid combination of film and digital photography, specializing in a chic, photojournalistic editorial style with a natural, free-flowing cinematic feel. We capture genuine joyful emotions and key events, while also catching meaningful “in-between” moments, focusing on the couple and the ambiance - and we always love to feature the city or the venue's vibe as an "additional guest" :) From elopements to intimate weddings to larger events, we care about people's lives and ways to express joy and celebrate love.
Visually, our influences merge European cultural sensibilities, NYC’s underground spirit, and a hint of 1980s Hong Kong cinema.
