Hello from Leila & David.

We are L&L Style Photo!

Photographer Leila Jacue and art director David Leon founded L&L Style Photo with the purpose of creating artful images that reflect the emotions of great couples celebrating their day in unique ways. We believe in contemporary wedding photography created with a stylish and fun approach, capturing the excitement of the couple, showing love and connection and interactions with the guests, depicting real moments full of life.

OUR WORK AS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS

- We have 7+ years of experience photographing weddings and elopements in NYC.

- We have a creative background and always look for an unique style that captures the essence of the city.

New York is a busy and constantly changing city. We have expert knowledge of the city and know the coolest locations and how to move around in the nicest, fastest and less stressful way.

- Leila & David always work as a team. Leila takes artistic, carefully planned shots while David makes sure there’s a great background, plans on locations and assists during the shoot (this can be really useful for taking editorial shots without having to worry about where to leave your coats or belongings in a busy Manhattan street).

- We are flexible and reasonable. We are open to finding another available time last minute, in case of terrible weather or if something unplanned happens.

- David is a NYC registered officiant! Our fully legal marriage ceremony service is included at no additional charge in all our elopement photography packages and you could pick a location different to the City Hall. David performs a short and sweet ceremony similar to the one at the City Hall but more personal and without the long lines :)

- We are based out in Manhattan, New York City and currently we are serving weddings and elopements in NYC 5 boroughs and beyond, plus destination weddings.

Inside NY City Hall

Here’s a complete guide on getting married at the Manhattan City Clerk’s Office (141 Worth St, NYC):

📄 Step 1: Obtain a Marriage License

  1. Apply online or in person via NYC.ID and the Project Cupid portal.

  2. Provide personal info (address, parent names, marital history) and present valid photo ID for both parties (passport, driver’s license, etc.)

  3. Pay $35 by credit card or money order.

  4. You’ll either attend a virtual appointment or go in person—if virtual, both partners must be in the same room, physically in New York, with IDs ready.

  5. Receive your license by email or printed (in person) — then wait at least 24 hours before marrying, but you must use it within 60 days.

🗓 Step 2: Schedule Your Ceremony

  1. Via Project Cupid, book a “Marriage Ceremony (In‑Person)” slot—appointments are mandatory, released ~3 weeks ahead every Monday around 9 AM ET.

    • Slots are Mon–Fri, 8:30–11:30 AM & 1:00–3:30/3:45 PM. Fridays are popular.

  2. You can book your ceremony even before obtaining your license, but must obtain the license at least 24 hours before your ceremony date.

👰‍♀️ Step 3: On the Day of Your Ceremony

  1. Arrive at City Hall ahead of time; security screening is required.

  2. Bring the following:

    • Printed marriage license

    • Photo IDs for both partners and the witness

    • $25 ceremony fee (credit card/money order)

    • At least one witness aged 18+, also with ID.

  3. Ceremony typically lasts 2–5 minutes. Officiated by a clerk, includes standard vows, optional ring exchange.

  4. After signing, the clerk issues the marriage certificate on-site.

👥 Guest & Witness Policy

  • Official policy requires one witness, but some couples report bringing up to 4 guests total (including witness and photographer)

Tip: Ask to verify guest count when booking—rules can change.

⏱ Timeline & Duration

  • License appointment to ceremony: expect about 2 weeks wait.

  • Ceremony day (waiting + ceremony): generally 30–60 minutes total.

🧾 Step 4: After the Ceremony

  • The clerk automatically submits the signed license to the City Clerk’s office.

  • You receive the official Certificate of Marriage on the spot; certified copies arrive by mail within ~20 business days.
